The Gospel today reminds us that we are rich in God’s eyes if we are generous. True giving is when we give from the sincerity of our hearts. It is not giving what we do not need any more. It is also not making a little offering to God from the many excesses of what we have. It is offering our best based on our capabilities. When we give much without counting the cost, then we are truly rich. For God is the one True Treasure of our lives. In Him we will lack nothing. If we give all to God without regard for ourselves, He in turn provides for us beyond compare. His Divine Providence is beyond what we have imagined. God always surpasses all our expectations for no one can exceed Him in generosity even for us sinners.
May God bless us and give us the grace to give without counting the cost. May God grant us the grace, courage, and strength to serve Him and our brethren to the best that we can until we attain our reward in His Kingdom without end. Amen. +
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, be with us always until the hour of our death. Amen. +
God bless us and may He help us always to conform to His will. Amen. +
