THE MAJESTY OF THE NATIVITY- 12/25/22 (The Nativity of the Lord (Christmas)Mass during the Day)

John 1:1-3,14
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
        and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came to be through him,
and without him nothing came to be.

And the Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us,
        and we saw his glory,
the glory as of the Father’s only Son,
        full of grace and truth.

Blessed Nativity of the Lord! Merry Christmas! After our preparation during the Advent season, the day has come for us to celebrate the glorious coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God created everything and sustain everything in existence through the Word. Everything that exists today are only existing at every moment of time because of the power of our Lord. He gives existence to all the creatures, and all things are dependent on Him. And, because of God's love for us, He came to be born like one of us. The Word, Jesus Christ, became flesh and made His dwelling among us. Humility is the expression of God's majesty during the Nativity. He did not surprise everyone with a thunderous voice, but Jesus was born in a manger in silence. Such is the humility of God.

This glorious event of the birth of the Infant Jesus teaches us the importance of practicing child-like simplicity and humility. One sign of humility is our recognition of the greatness of God. It is our acknowledgement of how worthy God is of our love and adoration. As we celebrate Christmas today, let's remember that all of the gifts and blessings that we have come from God, and as such, we should glorify Him in our words and deeds. Because of the humility of Christ, He chose to be dependent, especially when He was born as an infant. God desires for us to be dependent on Him like little infants. No one can persevere in spiritual life without graces and strength from God. As we prepare during the Advent season, it's time to remember that we can only do our resolutions and avoid the temptations that we experienced before solely by the help of God. Let's always ask guidance from our Lord because humility is truly pleasing in His eyes. May we also remember to participate in the Holy Mass. In the Mass, we partake of the flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. The manger is a foreshadowing of the altar in the Mass. We may not have had the opportunity to see the infant Jesus when He was born almost 2,000 years ago, but we are still witnessing His real presence in the Mass, in the Tabernacle and in the Adoration. Let's praise God who created the dignity of our human nature and chose to share in our humanity for us to have a hope of sharing in the glory of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen +

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, be with us always until the hour of our death. Amen. +

May the Lord + bless us, protect us from all evil and bring us to everlasting life. Amen. +
