INTERPRETING THE WILL OF GOD - 10/21/22 (Friday of the Twenty-ninth Week in Ordinary Time)
Luke 12:54-56
Jesus said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain–and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot–and so it is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”

Blessed Friday! Our Lord Jesus was commenting on the fact that the Pharisees and other Jews were capable of interpreting many things like the weather, but they were unable to interpret the events that took place to be referring to the coming of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. They witnessed the miracles of Jesus such as healings, exorcisms and many more. As experts in the Old Testament, they were aware of the prophecies surrounding the Messiah, but due to the hardness of their hearts, they still planned to kill Jesus Christ. God desires for us to be discerning of what happens in our culture today. Many people are becoming against the teachings of the Catholic Church. Despite the fact that God has performed numerous miracles in the Church and numerous Marian apparitions, seen below this reflection, it seems that a lot of people still oppose the Catholic Church. Despite this, we should take this as a calling from God for us to pray for conversion of sinners and have trust in God's timing and in God's mercy.
At the same time, the words of Jesus Christ also have effect on our personal spiritual and moral life. We may be knowledgeable of many things about technology, about our own careers and jobs, and many more. But, do we have knowledge of God and what His will is for our life? The truth is that God speaks to us always through our experiences. How is our relationship with God? Do we still persevere in holiness? Do we have the desire to be truly devoted during the Mass and give Him the greatest praise and glory? Sometimes, we may realize that we are becoming a bit cold in our faith. We may see that we are falling more to sins, and we may acknowledge the lack of peace in our lives. God is merciful, and He is inviting us to come to Him. If we are honest with our struggles, let's take this as a calling from God to speak to Him more often. Let's go to the Adoration Chapel, to Online Adoration, and we can also speak to Jesus before the Holy Tabernacle inside the Church. May we express our thoughts and feelings to Him, and may we renew our desire to be more faithful to Him. God will bless us and fill out hearts with peace, joy, patience, gentleness and all the graces we need to be united with our Lord.
Amen +
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, be with us always until the hour of our death. Amen. +
May the Lord + bless us, protect us from all evil and bring us to everlasting life. Amen. +
