In the first reading, we saw Daniel unharmed even when he was put into the den with lions. While his accusers who was cast into the same den were devoured by these beasts. If this was to happen to us today, wouldn’t it be all over the news and internet?
Yet all these was God’s doing because Daniel trusted Him. So it will also happen to anyone who hopes and trusts in the Lord. It is what we must also do in the face of trials in this life of exile. The Gospel reminds us all things in the world will end so are our sufferings. So we must take courage and hope in God like Daniel. He will deliver us and put an end to our suffering when we chose to believe in Him even in the face of imminent danger. For nothing is impossible with God. Amen. +
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, be with us always until the hour of our death. Amen. +
God bless us and may He help us always to conform to His will. Amen. +
